Senior Frankie McDonough has put together one of the best careers in state history and the forward added another milestone on Thursday when she scored her 100th career goal.

McDonough scored both of Shore's goals in a 2-1 win over Manalapan and the game-winner pushed the senior into triple digits. Shore has become a Group 1 power in the last decade thanks in large part to McDonough and her three older sisters.

The senior now has 100 career goals and 65 assists.

"Not only is Frankie a good scorer, she's also a great passer; just look at the assists," said Shore coach George Moutis. "She's not just the type of person who wants to score. She wants to do anything to make the team around her better and that's big. She's more like a Messi than, perhaps, say a Ronaldo. as a player and that's what I like the most about her."

Shore is the favorite to win the Group 1 title again this year and that would be the fourth straight state championship for the Blue Devils. McDonough and the rest of the senior class have never lost a state playoff game.

"Every year I play, I don't play to score," McDonough said earlier this season. "I play to make my team better and work together with them. Goals come from that and we're just a team that likes to play like that."
